LocalStack for Snowflake is a full-service local emulator for Snowflake Cloud, currently available for free in a private beta. With support for Snowflake queries, SnowPipes, Streamlit, stages, UDFs, and integrations with LocalStack for AWS, LocalStack for Snowflake helps data engineers and engineering leaders save 80% or more of the Snowflake cloud costs spent on their development and staging environments. In this presentation, LocalStack engineers will provide a short demonstration of LocalStack for Snowflake, including how to install and and run it, usage demonstrations with sample applications, and take feature requests and questions

Waldemar Hummer is the co-founder and CTO of LocalStack. After developing the first version of LocalStack for AWS at Atlassian, Waldemar co-founded LocalStack GmbH with Gerta Sheganaku to bring the emulator to market. Currently, LocalStack has partnered with Apple, 3M, Disney, AWS, and many other companies to raise adoption of local-first development for various cloud-native offerings. Waldemar resides in Zurich, Switzerland.
