Topic:

Virtualization has been a major technology in computing for the last decade, but for various reasons database servers are typically the last to get virtualized. Frequently, DBAs are left without insight into the underlying operations of the virtualization layer. In this session, you will learn the terminology associated with virtual machines (so you can talk to and understand the VM team), you will learn best practices for SQL Server running on virtual machines, and the basics of troubleshooting performance problems in a virtual environment.
